Crested Butte, Co

Crested Butte, Colorado,

We have been coming here since I was a kid and it never ceases to amaze me. If you like the small town feel away from crazy crowds and chains, Crested Butte is the place for you.

The main town is adorable and is filled with local stores and restaurants. There is not a single fast food restaurant there. My favorite restaurant would be the avalanche in the ski town. Their burgers never disappoint. But a staple is Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. We end almost every night there.

The hikes are stunning and every one is so different. This year many were closed due to left over snow. Some of my favorites are snodgrass trail, 403, and long lake. All of these are right off of Washington gulch road.

We came earlier this year and made it in time for the wild flower festival. The hills were covered in beautiful blue lupine. It was stunning.

Crested Butte is the perfect place to get away from the crowds (not so much the week of the fourth of July) and relax. There are endless trails for hiking and mountain biking. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, there is one for you.

This is one of my most favorite places and recommend it to everyone.
